And as you all know, you can believe everything on the internet. So here’s the video.
It starts out with the original look first, and than around the 2:20-ish mark, it switches to the new look in Metroid Prime: Trilogy. Now, when you really look at the video, you’ll only really be able to tell two things are different (aside from a different suit). One, The water doesn’t look as good (No ripples when you splishy-splash in the water), and two, some minor particle effects may or may not be missing, but most notable, the ice beam. In the original, your cannon arm would freeze over when charged, and the ice would shatter off when you fired. In the Wii version, it just…charges. other than that, the controls look to be smoother on the Wii-logy and the HUD might look a little crispier, but I can’t tell because it’s not in wide-screen and it’s uploaded to YouTube.
Reguardless of no ripples in the water and no arm-ice, I’m still getting this, and I’ll have it on my shelf, proudly, next to the original Primes…after I play the hell out of it, of course. I don’t know why such minor details would be so “OMG RAGE” but it might be because, in theory, I’ve become so black-hearted and subjective, I’ve actually overlapped into objectivity. It could happen!
