Wild Tron Legacy Trailer Appeared! [UPDATED]
Posted on March 7th, 2010 No comments(Sorry, Pokemon and TRON do not mix. Ever. Anyway.)
Behold, internet! A new trailer for the upcoming 2010 TRON LEGACY in all its sub-standard quality glory…aspect ratio troubles, audio scratchy, you get the picture (or will). Word of caution, the following video doesn’t do the trailer any justice, but we’ll have to wait for the HD version. Until then, jump for the video.

Intel Experiments with New Process to Fire Employees
Posted on December 17th, 2009 No commentsI’ve always said, if you’re going to fire your employees, do it in style. Intel seems to have taken this literally. Well literally in a fake sort of sense. There are employees being fired, but instead of from jobs and offices, from cannons. And it’s not as simple as that, but these are five people being fired from five cannons in order to recreate Intel’s famous tune. Here, just watch this video after the jump.

Video Shows Metroid Prime Trilogy Looks Worse Than Originals
Posted on September 8th, 2009 No commentsAnd as you all know, you can believe everything on the internet. So here’s the video.
It starts out with the original look first, and than around the 2:20-ish mark, it switches to the new look in Metroid Prime: Trilogy. Now, when you really look at the video, you’ll only really be able to tell two things are different (aside from a different suit). One, The water doesn’t look as good (No ripples when you splishy-splash in the water), and two, some minor particle effects may or may not be missing, but most notable, the ice beam. In the original, your cannon arm would freeze over when charged, and the ice would shatter off when you fired. In the Wii version, it just…charges. other than that, the controls look to be smoother on the Wii-logy and the HUD might look a little crispier, but I can’t tell because it’s not in wide-screen and it’s uploaded to YouTube.
Reguardless of no ripples in the water and no arm-ice, I’m still getting this, and I’ll have it on my shelf, proudly, next to the original Primes…after I play the hell out of it, of course. I don’t know why such minor details would be so “OMG RAGE” but it might be because, in theory, I’ve become so black-hearted and subjective, I’ve actually overlapped into objectivity. It could happen!

Keyboard Cat VS. 8-Bit
Posted on June 19th, 2009 No commentsIf you don’t know already, I’m a big fan of the 8-bit pixel guru, Doctor Octoroc, who, partnered with Jude Buffum, decided to make an 8-bit version of the Internet meme, Keyboard Cat, and there is much smiling to be had while and after watching the short clip, which, while not entirely original (There is another version, though not as high quality, and frankly, crappy at best), shows off great and simple 8-bit animation and music by the masterminds behind the small project. You can even download the mp3 for it on “Doc Oc’s” blog!
