Happy Viles Time Day 2009, F*** Off!

Just kidding, and before you ask, no, I didn’t get you all anything special, aside from me posting at least once this month, but happy V-day from a lazy geek! Here, maybe this will cheer you up. Via lifehacker, I found a very sexy set of wallpapers based on games made by a deviant known as Orioto. Sorry I can’t post any previews, but take my word for it and check em out, you won’t regret it….okay maybe just one.

Free Stuff Makes Me Giggle

And who doesn’t giggle when they get free stuff? Especially from a contest, because putting forth some amount of effort makes a victory all the more sweet. Gamer Grub: Because [Insert Fat Gamer Stereotype Here]

So over at bb Gadgets, I came across an article talking about some new snake food specifically for the gamer…not on the move. Gamer Grub is “a great tasting snack that boosts your core gaming systems, such as visual input, cognitive processing, signal transmission and muscle reflexes for maximum gaming performance.” It’s also said to NOT to be full of empty calories, but each of the four flavors contain Vitamins A, E, B3, C, Magnesium, Choline, and L-Glutamic acid.

My take on this crap is that this is just another way to get gamers sucked into thinking they can substitute real food and nutritions by spending more money. I mean, really, I spend enough time as it is in front of the screen. Meal time is a way to take a break, maybe chat with your family or friends, and try to eat something healthy, that’s, well you know, actually healthy. I’m all for being lazy, but this is just obnoxious.
