Proper Use of the iPad
Posted on April 13th, 2010 No commentsThe iPad. Oh, the iPad. Recently launched and already hacked but what do you show off first? Emulation.
The video above is showing off a jailbroken iPad playing two N64 games, Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario 64. It looks good. Great, almost, if the sound wasn’t so, well, emulated. Sound has always been a problem for emulators. and then there’s the control issue which just looks painful, but who cares? You can play N64 games on your brand new iPad! Now, when your friends laugh at you for having one, you can show them that.
I still wish I had one.

Did You Blink? Did You Miss It?
Posted on October 24th, 2009 No commentsOf course I am referring to Windows 7 which was released this last Thursday much to my glee and satisfaction. And to help celebrate, Apple released a new ad attacking it, which is kinda funny, but you may want to cover your ears when it comes to Windows ME. God I hated ME. Well not me ME, but Windows ME. Anyway…
Apple has to spend their money on something, I guess.

Dungeons & Dragons Has The Touch, Has The Power
Posted on October 20th, 2009 No commentsMulti-touch surfaces have been around for a little while, and still has a way to go before being used by everyone for everyday needs, but already I can see no other greater use for such a device other than to play DnD on it.
Obviously still a work in progress, this demo comes to us courtesy of the team Surfacescapes at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University, and it shows off a lot the potential fun that could be had by anyone interested enough. Of course you’d have to get pass the price of such a table, but it’d be totally worth it. Totally.

AMD’s Phenom II pushed to 6.5GHz, I Get a Massive Hadron
Posted on January 26th, 2009 No commentsMe and my witty titles (teehee). Anyway, it’s come to my attention, via Engadget, that after CES, a bunch of awesome speed-freaks, whom had access to a lot of liquid nitrogen and liquid helium, decided to create an environment in which they could OC the latest AMD Phenom II X4 in less than -230 degrees Celsius weather. Once the silicon was chilled enough, the group proceeded to ramp up the clock speed to a whopping 6.5 GHz, which ended up giving a 3DMark05 score of 45,474.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I read about liquid nitrogen or liquid helium cooling gadgets and gizmos, I get a big grin on my face, and of course, a massive hadron. And the event was in front of a live audience, and there’s even a video…after the jump!

It Was Christmas Yesterday…
Posted on December 26th, 2008 No commentsYeah I’m not one for being big on Christmas. Partially due to the fact I never got Red-Ranger action figure when I was young, or it could be that I do not feel like supporting a dying economy? Anyway, I got some “holiday cheer” when I found a video over a Kotaku…Check it out after the jump!
