  • Surviving The Wait, Left 4 Dead Survival Pack

So the big Left4Dead survival pack was released today, bringing with it 20 survival-ready maps from your favorite campaigns and a new map specifically made for survival mode, Lighthouse, and of course the new versus maps and the SDK. So all is good, right? Valve is doing good stuff as always for their fanbase, but it seems not all is well, seeing as how 360 owners got their update at 5AM EST while the PC users are…still waiting. From what I remember reading, Valve said the PC version of the pack was ready, but they were waiting to finish the 360 version before they shipped it.

So why the wait? I woke up around 3AM this morning, having gone to bed extremely early, and was surprised to notice it was the 21st, on which the L4D survival pack would be released. So I went looking for it, found out it’ll be released at 2AM for the 360 and the PC version would not be until, “sometime later in the day.”

What the F***?! Oh well, at least the pack is free, and it’ll fix a lot of problems and bugs with the smoker and boomer…right? RIGHT, VALVE?!
