“Fallout New Vegas was announced moments ago during a Bethesda press conference in London,” according to Kotaku. Good ol’ Pete Hines announced it and also said that Bethesda was working with Obsidian Entertainment on the title.

The game is set to come out next year on the PC, XBox 360, and Playstation 3.

“It is not a sequel to Fallout 3,” Hines said. “It’s simply another Fallout game in that universe.”

F*** yes! We’re heading back out west, which I’m hoping means some bigger BoS quest lines and involvement unlike the pricks hanging out in the east. I hate those guys.

Also, ‘Obby’ Entertainment is what’s left of Black Isle Studios, you know, the original Fallout developers, amongst other things, so I actually have faith in them in creating a great and epic, story-driven RPG experience that will tie FO 1, 2, and 3 together like one big happy family. Of Awesome.
