First, I really hope ANET won’t have all the login problems, error codes, and downtime (hours? seriously? ) that this beta event had. That said, it is pretty much a continuation of the Diablo franchise. I agree that the skills seemed overpowered; holy cow the barbarian strikes with a weapon, and the enemies are knocked back and dead. But, this is only the easy mode, if memory serves, the next play levels (was that medium and hard, then hardcore, or hell difficulty?) are a bit more realistic I’ll wager. I was able to login after completing the beta, and it actually restarted me at the beginning, and the monsters seemed a bit higher level, if not different. ( I specifically recall finding stuff that was not there the first time around- crypts, places to explore underground) ). What I did learn is that the movement is by mouse only, and that suits my wife’s playing style. So that means there will be at least one, most likely two Diablo 3′s in my house.
