Yes I do! Well not me, but the blog does! Space-y, smooth, crisp, and still orange. I worked on this little number so I could have a cleaner blog than what I had previously and I’ll say it looks dandy. You’ve probably noticed the header image as well! A representation of my geekiness, from favorite shows I watched as a child, to games I can’t quit, to…well, other stuff. Can you name all the images and logos on there? You’ll get a sweet Creme Brulee if you do!
The short version? It’s not you, it’s me. The longer version? I’m bogged down with a lot and haven’t been giving my blog here the rightfully-deserved attention it needs to flourish. The podcast is a good start, and hopefully a bi-weekly “lazycast” will work, but what about in between then? Well, I have classes, most importantly, and then there’s GW-EN, and I’m doing some stuff for Rhonda and them, and then there’s Guild Wars, which is pretty much linked to my work with GW-EN.
You see, the DJs for GW-EN are in-game and have trivia questions and the like every so often on-air, and they give out super-sweet items, but where do they get items to give out to listeners? Well not me, yet. We’ll just leave it at that I have a lot of farming to do for some major upcoming events.
Short and sweet and to the point, I know, but I have another chapter to read of “Systems Analysis & Design Methods.” Oh the joy, but don’t worry, you’ll hear me(literally!) again come next Monday, so until then, stay geeky.
So, I guess I should post something. I guess. If only to say I’m busy, which makes me feel like an ass. Speaking of ass, these classes I’m taking have been kicking mine, especially JAVA. There’s not enough caffeine in the world (or apartment) to escape my frustration with the JAVA language. That’s what I’ve been doing, and in between everything I’ve been sort of keeping up with the gaming world, especially the hearing of Hippies v. Common Sense. I mean Schwarzenegger v. EMA (Entertainment Merchants Association) and ESA (Entertainment Software Association). I just want it to be over so we can wait a year or so before a new bill goes through it all again. ‘Cause it’s fun.
Oh, and Pink Day was a huge success. We got over $10000 in donations for the Canadian Cancer Society. So, HA! I’ve contributed to society! And next year is going to be hell, putting it together, I mean. Fun in any other sense, but setting up for it, it’s already gnawing away from the back of my mind (I’m sure Rhonda’s having the same gnawing feelings).
OH! and champions Online going free-to-play? I just bought the damn game and three months when Steam had it on sale for $6. The setup is similar to Turbine’s, but the free tier is a bit more…lacking…in character slots. I shouldn’t have made 8 heroes, damn you creativity and imagination!
So, uh, that’s pretty much it for now, until I finish these classes I won’t really be able to get back on a normal blogging schedule which, again, makes me feel like one of those bloggers who only post to say why I’m not posting. Next post will be something awesome. Promise.
